Blue Ocean Brewing is AMAZING! We were beyond grateful to use this establishment to host our annual crab feed fundraiser for the Kirk Michael Peterson Good Samaritan Award. 2.24.24 was a magical day on the coast honoring those dear to our hearts. The Boardroom combined with ample seating outside made for a beautiful setting to welcome our feast. Much thanks to Tom and everyone at Blue Ocean Brewing. Special thanks to Jeannette, the event manager, who went above and beyond to help me make this a successful event. Cheers!
This place was a huge pleasant surprise. It was a rainy/windy day and we were over in the area because we were just kind of driving the coast. We didn't expect much in this area because we were coming from the somewhat industrial looking side, but decided we wanted to look for a brewery. We googled and ended up trying this place out. Because of the weather, we didn't think there would be anyone else in here and didn't have super high hopes. We were so wrong! When we entered, there was a duo playing live music. They were enjoyable to listen to. There were also quite a few people in there of all ages and seemingly, different walks of life--always a fun thing to see. I ordered a flight and every beer on it was nice and crispy cold--the only way to enjoy beer in my opinion. And the flavors of every one were so impressive. We both love beer and are very impartial to our own local breweries in the town we live in--but coming here made me wish this was in our town! My husband ordered a pint of Sea Wolf and he really enjoyed that. I had the Love Boat on my flight which sounded intriguing to me. It was SO GOOD. It was an ill Ali eery and graham cracker sour. I'm not always a sour lover, but it was the perfect balance. I would say that and the Sea Wolf were my favorites. The gal working, Lauren, was incredibly sweet. We asked for some local suggestions of places she liked for food, drinks, etc. and she was really helpful--gave us lots of great insight. She also chatted with us about her dog and ours...overall just really cool vibes. This will definitely be a go-to spot on all our future visits to the HMB area!
Blue Ocean Brewing is a real gem that brings together great beer and company under one roof. You can't go wrong with any of the homemade brews, but the IPA was my personal favorite. Always great service. Highly recommend if you're staying in Half Moon Bay or passing through town!
Pretty solid newish brewery. There was live music and dancing outside when I went. Plenty of seating outside and inside as well. There's a whole another room just for games like corn hole and connect 4, and has 1 bathroom. The main bar area has board games, darts, a TV for sports, and 1 bathroom. There was a nice variety of 12 beers on tap. I tried maybe half of them and they were all pretty decent. Bartenders are nice about letting you sample before committing. I'd come back

Best Beer. Best Service. Best Vibes. Lauren was our server and she went above and beyond. Attentive, helpful, and so hilarious. Super hometown feel here, right on the harbor literally minute walk from Mavericks. This is a primo spot! Check it out!
Great experience. Bartender was bright, sharp and very friendly. Beers - oh yea! Nailed them. Very good flavors, well balanced, nice selection. If I lived closer, this would be a frequent spot.

Nestled among the crab traps in Princeton Landing is a new craft brewery that is already a local's favorite. While I'm not local, I know a good craft beer when I find one and Blue Ocean is serving up several. This dark beer fan was blown away by their milk stout, which was carefully poured. It was creamy and flavorful without any bitterness on the palate or finish. My companions enjoyed the range of IPA styles. This little brewery offers inside and outside seating, including a roof top view, which they will no doubt outgrow based on the early buzz and their impressive offerings at $7 a pint.
